A Voidhunter and adventurer with several years of experience, his passion involves delving deep ruins and dungeons, fighting off dangerous beasts, and of course, his main goal, eliminating all Voidsent from the world. In world filled with magic, he is left bereft of it, and must make use of his physical might and wit to survive, lest he be swallowed whole by many of the much larger fauna that populate Eorzea and beyond. With the Twelve at his back, and in his heart, he marches forward into the dark, alone if he must.-Guarded around people he does not know, it'll take some time for him to open up. He tends to come off as unapproachable, overly serious in everything he does. To those who crack the shell, he's a loyal companion who will put his life on the line for those he loves.-Cannot use aether, and tends to be nearly invisible to those that can sense it. Healing magic tends to not take hold quickly either....-Unrelenting in his pursuit of voidsent, he's immediately hostile to any and all from the dread plane. Beware if you commune with them!-Will ramble and tell stories, sometimes for bells on end. Interrupt him if he's talking your ear off, or stay awhile and listen.-Despite his apparent outside coldness, he isn't wont to fight, and would rather engage in conversation. The blade is a last resort.

A brief history

Starting his adventuring career at 20 summers old, the naive Plainsfolk set out to become a hero known far and wide so that his village, affected by the Calamity, would prosper. While he thought himself ready to leave his home and family behind to take on the world, reality proved him horribly wrong, forcing him to live in the wilds with nothing but his chocobo, Turyl, and whatever he could scavenge. Arriving in Thanalan, the heat of the desert proved too much to handle, and the Lalafell passed out mid trek, where all his belongings were stolen, and his unconscious body kicked into Stonesthrow. It was there that he had to make a choice--to stay and rot in the ragged tents, or stand up and make a living for himself. Finding a near broken pickaxe, the boy set out to mine the plentiful bounties of Eorzea, using what gil he earned to get himself better and better gear, until he could reliably afford his own set of adventuring gear, and even give back to the people of Stonesthrow. From there, he'd begin his path to become a true adventurer, taking whatever jobs he could to both practice his sword arm, and earn a living. It proved difficult however, as he had no formal combat training, and without access to aether, he was at the mercy of his own skill...which made him an easy meal for many of the monsters that plagued the continent. Whether it was by sheer luck or divine intervention, Nazyl managed to survive his outings and even join a few adventurer companies...where he would go to witness the true danger of his work, as comrades and clients were mercilessly killed by both men and monster. Horrified, he would go back to the city, and begin actual training in the protective arts of a sword and shield....namely the Paladin's style. After several moons of being rejected, he was finally accepted into an event where adventurers would be trained without past experience or referral, perhaps out of pity. Nazyl passed his training...barely, but was given the right to own a soulcrystal and walk among the realm as a Free Paladin.
Later, he would join a crew of Sky Pirates, where the Void would make its presence known...where his grief and anger took over. (Further history will have to be discovered through rp!)

Mayhaps you've heard...

Surviving in Eorzea and completing jobs will earn one a name in the world after some time, and even Nazyl might have had some rumors spread about him.-The Sultansworn usually try to forget he exists, mostly because he was difficult to train, but will sometimes joke about it to others.-The Rising Claws once held him in high regard, before an incident with the sky pirates happened. Perhaps you've heard of that?-A dedicated voidhunter, he's found in almost every instance of a job relating to them, and has an alarmingly high success rate in dispatching them, even upwards to a First Rung. Anyone in the business has likely heard of him.-He loves to cook more than anything, especially for others. While his dishes tend to be on the "wild" side, what he creates is done with great care and made specifically for the consumer's taste. You might find him in the food markets frequently.-As an adventurer, no job is too small...or large, for that matter. have a quest needing done? You'll probably find his name under the sign ups.
